We recently caught up with defender Kire Ristevski to talk about his quick start with his new club team Slavia and his debut for the senior national team of Macedonia, among other things.

Many potential internationals were active this past weekend and two of them, Benjamin Sulimani and Haris Hajradinovic, scored one goal apiece. Also worth mentioning are Alec Urosevski’s first start in the A-League and Naser Aliji’s debut in Switzerland’s first league.

Adis Jahovikj netted one goal for Vorskla, Krste Velkoski added another goal for Sarajevo, Mario Gjurovski, Dejan Blazhevski and Dushan Savikj converted penalty kicks for their respective teams, Besart Ibraimi picked up two assists for Enosis, while Muhamed Demiri and Muarem Muarem collected one assist apiece for St. Gallen and Qarabağ, respectively.

Nderim Nedzipi converted a penalty kick for Partizani, Goran Pandev and Napoli suffered a narrow loss in their first leg matchup against Porto in the Europa League, while Mirko Ivanovski made his first start for Astra in league play since October of last year.

Mainz announced on Thursday that the club has picked up Nikolche Noveski’s option, so now his contract runs until June of 2015.

Macedonia’s win against Latvia earlier this month moved the national team one spot in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola rankings list for the month of March.
