FIFA Rankings: Macedonia losses points, yet climbs 6 spots

FIFAIn the latest FIFA World Rankings updated today, Macedonia climbed 6 places and reached the 74th spot.

Macedonia lost 13 points since the last rankings, yet the Lynx moved up 6 places and are now ranked 74th. For the July ranking, FIFA considered 3 of the 4 friendlies that Macedonian played: the two against China (defeat and draw) and the one against Cameroon (defeat), while the Qatar draw isn’t recognized by FIFA since Macedonia used too many substitutions.

It is interesting to note that one of 32 participants at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil managed to be placed behind Macedonia. That one is Australia who is 2 places bellow with 9 points less.
