Women: Macedonia – Bosnia & Herzegovina 2:6

The women’s national team of Macedonia suffered a heavy 6:2 defeat at home against Bosnia & Herzegovina to remain in last place of Group 1 during the 2013 UEFA Women’s qualifying.

At today’s match at the Goce Delcev stadium in Prilep, the Macedonian women were defeated 6:2 against their counterparts from Bosnia & Herzegovina.  The visitors were led by Lidija Kuliš who scored four goals to lead Bosnia & Herzegovina to the convincing victory.  The visitors scored three goals in each half while Macedonia scored their two goals in the 50th and 78th minute through Afrodita Salihi and Gentjana Roki.  Macedonia was without the services of its best player Natasa Andonova.

Lineup for Macedonia’s women: Kostova, Georgieva, S. Andonova (81′ Petrova), Arsova, Mileska, Roki, Andreevska (72′ Naumoska), Brahimi (C), Salihi, Stojanova (65′ Smilkovska), Mitrevska.

The Macedonian women next face Poland on 23 November, also at the Goce Delcev stadium in Prilep.  Macedonia remains in last place of Group 1 with one point after three qualifying games.  Greece also has one point but Macedonia has the worst goal difference of -13.  Italy leads the group with 9 points and they could add to their tally as they play another game later today against Poland.
