Ivan Trickovski provided an assist for APOEL to help his club move to first place on the table after today’s 3:1 victory over rivals Omonia.

Ivan Trickovski started up front for APOEL and played all 90 minutes in today’s victory over in-city rivals Omonia.  Prior to the game, Omonia was leading APOEL by two points on the table but with today’s result, APOEL climbed to first place with 29 points after thirteen rounds in the Cypriot top division.  Trickovski did not have any quality chances during the game but did provide the assist on the third goal for APOEL in the 78th minute when he found his teammate Esteban Solari who then scored an easy goal into an empty net.

Omonia took the initial lead in the 9th minute through Andreas Avraam but APOEL equalized just before halftime in the 42nd minute thanks to a strike from Athos Solomou.  APOEL then managed to record the victory with two quick goals by striker Esteban Solari in the 74th and 78th minute, the second goal being assisted by Ivan Trickovski.  Solari actually entered the game in the 70th minute for APOEL and made an immediately difference in the game with his two goals.
