Aleksandar Trajkovski scored his first league goal for Mechelen in today’s encounter against Oostende with a nice strike directly from a free kick.
Aleksandar Trajkovski, as has been the norm under new Mechelen manager Frank Vercauteren, once again started on the wing for the Belgian club in their home game against Oostende. Trajkovski rewarded the manager when he broke the scoreless tie in the 39th minute. Aleksandar’s goal came on a nice strike directly from a free kick.

In the 2nd half, Trajkovski had two more chances in the 58th and 68th minute, but both of his efforts were saved by the Oostende keeper Didier Ovono. Mechelen maintained its 1:0 lead until the 86th minute when Oostende netted the equalized for a final score of 1:1.
Aleksandar eventually played until the 89th minute when he was substituted by Senad Karahmet, while his Macedonian teammate Tome Pachovski remained sidelined with an ankle injury.
