Mario Gjurovski scored a great goal directly from a corner kick, but his club Muangthong United lost 2:1 against Melbourne Victory to exit the AFC Champions League.
Just like last Saturday, when Mario Gjurovski scored a goal in a 2:0 victory for Muangthong United over Hà Nội T&T, today he once again found the scoresheet in the encounter against Australian side Melbourne Victory. His goal today was even better as it came directly from a corner kick in the 22nd minute. Mario sent in a corner from the right hand side and managed to curl it to the back of the net.

The match between Melbourne Victory and Muangthong United took place in Australia in the third and final qualifying round of the 2014 AFC Champions League. It was a one leg, winner take all match. The winning side would enter the group stages of this year’s edition of the AFC Champions League, while the losing team would be eliminated from the competition.
Despite the goal by Gjurovski, which gave Muangthong United a 0:1 lead at the time, Melbourne Victory scored two goals in the 2nd half to collect a come from behind victory. Mario eventually played until the 80th minute when he was substituted by Wuttichai Tathong. The score was 1:1 at that juncture of the game, but Melbourne Victory then netted the game winner in the 83rd minute to eliminate Muangthong from the AFC Champions League.
