Aleksandar Todorovski started at right-back for Polonia Warszawa and played all 90 minutes in today’s 1:0 home win over Lech Poznań. Polonia recorded a dramatic victory by scoring the lone goal in the 90th minute to claim all three points. This was Todorovski’s tenth consecutive start for Polonia which has included eight league games and two domestic cup games.
With today’s win, Polonia moved to a tie in second place on the table with city rivals Legia Warszawa as both teams now have 22 points, although Legia has played two fewer games.
Macedonian manager John Toshack finally rewarded Todorovski for his good form by including him in the squad for the upcoming friendly against Albania. Todorovski last played for Macedonia on 9 February 2011 in a friendly against Cameroon and has accumulated six appearances for the senior national team since making his debut in March of 2010 against Montenegro.
