After reviewing the performances of Macedonian football players over the month of October, we put a list of the best starting 11 during that span. We compiled stats such as games played, goals, assists, and clean sheets to determine which players deserved to be on the team of the month.
The Macedonian starting 11 for the month of October will be a 4-1-3-2 formation that includes the following players:
Darko Tofiloski
The goalkeeping position lacked many options since many Macedonian keepers are not playing much for their respective clubs. Tome Pacovski and Kristijan Naumovski played in only one game during the month, Martin Bogatinov is out of the squad with Karpaty, Edin Nuredinoski has been conceding a lot of goals for Ethnikos Achnas so the best choice for the month of October was Darko Tofiloski. He played in four games for Košice and was the best option at keeper.
Aleksandar Todorovski
Todorovski made five appearances for Polonia Warszawa during October and scored one goal directly from a free kick. In those five games, Todorovski was named man of the match on two occasions.
Daniel Ivanovski
Played in three games at CB for Mjällby during the month and was part of a defense that kept two clean sheets. Mjällby also won all three games during October to close the season on a positive note.
Nikolce Noveski
Featured in seven games during October, five for Mainz and two for the Macedonian national team. Provided one assist during that span and Noveski has been pretty reliable for both club and country.
Goran Popov
Took part in four games for Dynamo Kyiv and also had one appearance for the Macedonian national team during the month as Popov was helped by the lack of competition at the position. Aleksandar Lazevski was slowly returning from an injury for Partizan and there were not many other quality options at LB so the choice was Goran Popov.
Zeni Husmani
Husmani played in three games for Šibenik during October and was chosen as the defensive midfielder in the formation. Velice Sumulikoski and Muhamed Demiri did not do enough in the past month so Husmani was chosen as there were a lack of other quality options.
Agim Ibraimi
Featured in five games for Maribor this month by scoring two goals and providing one assist. Scored two important goals against Braga in the Europa League and Olimpija Ljubljana in league play. Also provided one assist so deserved a spot in the team of the round.
Hristijan Dimoski
Scored five goals and had an assist during October as he helped FK Ohrid go undefeated during the month of October. Reached the back of the net in each league game as Ohrid has moved to 5th place on the table in large part to the good form of Dimoski.
Ivan Trickovski
Featured in six games during the month, four with APOEL and two with the senior national team of Macedonia. Trickovski scored two goals in the match against Ethnikos Achnas but after the game, the referee took away the second goal by Trickovski and ruled it an own goal. Has been consistent and helping APOEL both in league play and also in the Champions League.
Ilco Naumoski
Naumoski took part in three games for Mattersburg during October and was credited with two goals and an assist. His two goals came in the game against the defending Austrian champions Sturm Graz. Naumoski captained Mattersburg and the club has been more competitive over the past month.
Stevica Ristić
Played in six games for Suwon over the month of October and reached the back of the net three times. Ristić has been very consistent for Suwon by scoring goals at a very good rate. The only bad break was receiving the red card in a AFC Champions League game against Al-Sadd.
