Darko Tasevski left out of Levski squad

Midfielder Darko Tasevski, who has been with Levski since 2007, was excluded from the squad for today’s game against Chernomorets.

Bulgarian newspapers are reporting that Darko’s poor form over the past several weeks led to the decision to exclude him from the 19 men Levski squad for today’s home game against Chernomorets.  Levski has played musical chairs at the manager position and that lack of stability has hurt the team on the standings.  Levski, used to being near the top of the table, currently finds itself in just 5th place after today’s 2:2 draw against Chernomorets.

Tasevski has had an up and down relationship with the current Levski manager Yasen Petrov.  Petrov initially managed Levski from 2010-11, then resigned, and was just recently named caretaker manager after yet another coaching change by the Bulgarian club.  Darko has a contract with Levski until the summer of 2013 but he is expected to be shopped this summer and ultimately sold if a desirable offer, preferably from abroad, comes in for his services.
