The groin surgery on Lazevski will be performed today or tomorrow by the latest with the recovery period set at two to three weeks.  The newspaper reported that the Partizan doctors attempted therapy which would have allowed Lazevski to finish the season but that proved ineffective so Aleksandar will need to undergo a groin surgery.

Partizan has six more league games remaining on the schedule until the end of the season and with the recovery period being two to three weeks on the groin surgery, Lazevski will miss at least four of those games.  Lazevski last featured for Partizan on 21 March in the 2:0 loss to rivals Crvena Zvezda.

This setback could also affect Lazevski’s availability when it comes to the Macedonian national team for the upcoming friendly against Portugal on 26 May.  If the recovery period stays at two to three weeks, as reported, Lazevski should return by mid May but the question then becomes whether he will be in the proper playing shape since his last competitive match was on 21 March.
