Zlatko Tanevski and GKS Bełchatów reached a decision to mutually terminate the contract of the Macedonian defender.

The move was officially announced on the official website of GKS Bełchatów.  The contract termination of Tanevski was speculated for several weeks in the Polish media but the move was finally made official today which makes Tanevski a free agent.  Zlatko originally joined GKS Bełchatów in the summer of 2009 when he signed a 2 year deal.  However, he will now leave the team six months before his contract was set to expire and will be eligible to sign with any other club as a free agent.

During his time with GKS Bełchatów, the 28-year-old Tanevski took part in 26 league games along with 3 Polish cup matches.  Tanevski played RB, CB, and LB during his time with the club.  In his first season, he primarily played at RB with some games at CB while in the first half of this season, he was usually deployed at LB.  However, Tanevski did not receive regular playing time and the fans were critical of his performances so the decision was made to mutually terminate his contract.

Tanevski has spent the past five years of his career in Poland playing for Lech Poznań and GKS Bełchatów.  Before that, he featured for Macedonian sides Vardar and Cementarnica 55.  Zlatko has also been capped once by the Macedonian national team in a friendly against China in December of 2010 while formerly playing for the youth national teams as well.
