The only Macedonian team that has survived in the European cups, Rabotnicki, tomorrow will play the second leg from the third qualification round from UEFA Europa League against Danish OB Odense. The first match ended 3-4 in favor of the Danish team.
Having lost the first leg at home 3-4, it is well known that it will be way too hard for Rabotnicki, but at the same time it is not impossible. OB Odense were favorites before the start of the two-legged match, OB Odense are favorites now once again. The first leg played in Skopje was an excellent match with many goals and many overturns in the result. Eventually it was Odense who celebrated the win.
Rabotnicki played excellent in the offense and the attack was not a problem, but the defense was not at its best. 4 goals conceded, one of which was from 11 meters spot, is not something they should be proud of. The defense was leaving too much space to Odense attackers and Cacá was one of the players who used that best by scoring a hat-trick.
In Denmark, Rabotnicki’s coach Zoran Stratev will have to create the starting 11 without Wandeir and Gligorov who will not travel to Denmark. It is very well known that Rabotnicki has nothing to lose on this match and they should start attacking from the first minute in order to cover the first leg defeat and win on aggregate score, if that is possible. With similar play in the attack like on the first leg and improved defense, Rabotnicki has a chance of making a huge surprise.
The match is scheduled for tomorrow, 6th of August, at 20.05 on the stadium Fionia Park in Odense. Estonian referee Hannes Kaasik will be responsible for the football justice and he will be helped by Marko Leevand and Sten Klaasen, both from Estonia.
