The second part of the season starts this weekend with the games from round 1 in reverse order. Without a real derby on the schedule, the six matches should still be interesting as teams battle for positioning on the table.
Vardar is hosting bottom placed 11 Oktomvri in a matchup of first going up against last. These two teams recently met in a domestic cup game and Vardar won 2:0. For tomorrow’s game, Vardar expects another win although 11 Oktomvri is once again likely to play defensive and organized football with the hopes of frustrating the Vardar players.
Second placed Metalurg has a road game in Tetovo against Teteks. A difficult task awaits Metalurg as Teteks has a good track record in front of their home fans so Metalurg must find a way to defeat Teteks in order of making sure that Vardar does not extend their five point lead after this round.
Rabotnicki is visiting Bregalnica in Stip. After three consecutive league defeats, the Club Hero won’t have an easy game as Bregalnica is usually tough to beat at their own stadium. They currently have a streak of two games without a defeat at home. This game will mark the debut of Bregalnica’s new manager, Bojan Zahariev, while Rabotnicki will also have other manager as Goran Petreski is with the U17 national team so Pavel Nedelkovski will lead the team in today’s game.
Maybe the most interesting game will take place in Ohrid where the home team, FK Ohrid, is hosting Renova. The Ohrid fans are jubilant after the Blues have gone undefeated for 5 games in which they won three games with two draws. But, can Ohrid beat the experienced team of Renova without their manager who is suspended for the next two games?
Sileks and Napredok will face one another in Kratovo in a game featuring two teams with the same number of points, thus sharing the fourth place on the table. Both teams seem to have similar quality as each side has recorded the same results of 5 wins, 1 draw, and 5 defeats after eleven rounds with the same goal-difference of -5.
The last game of the round, also the only game scheduled for Sunday, is the clash between the defending league champions Shkendija and Horizont Turnovo. The home side is a firm favorite to win the game but Shkendija will play without their loyal fans after FFM suspended them from entering the stadium due to an incident in last week’s Tetovo derby between Shkendija and Teteks.
