Ivan Necevski was the reserve goalkeeper for Sydney, while his teammate Christopher Naumoff made the start in attacking midfield and played until the 67th minute when he was substituted by Robert Stambolziev. Sydney eventually lost at home as Adelaide’s Awer Mabil scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute.
