Spartak Trnava public relations representative Marek Ondrejka released the following statement regarding the contract termination of Dejan Peshevski, “In the night from Saturday to Sunday (the dates were 12/13 October) Peshevski attended a nightclub in Trnava that also happens to be an advertiser of our club.  While there, he grossly violated the diet imposed by our coaches and used vulgar language dealing with the staff, leading to him being escorted out by security.  His actions significantly damaged the reputation of Spartak Trnava.  Such behavior is not worthy of a professional footballer at our club and is not justifiable.  Thus, with immediate effect the club announces the termination of Peshevski’s contract which ran until the end of the season plus included an option for an additional two years.  We are sorry because Peshevski showed glimpses of talent to make him an interesting player.  However, before the start of the season, manager Juraj Jarábek made it clear that character would be just as important as quality when it comes to evaluating players.  Peshevski is an example that such reckless behavior will not be tolerated by either the club or the manager.”

Peshevski mostly played for the reserve team of Spartak Trnava.  He is also a member of the Macedonian U21 national team, and was included in the most recent squad that came during the September qualifier against Norway U21.  Dejan is only 20 years old, and this is something that he will have to deal wth for the rest of his career.  Will a team give him another chance after such an incident, followed by a strongly worded statement from Spartak Trnava?
