Pandev: We go to Glasgow for a win!

The Macedonian captain is full of optimism despite a tough loss against Croatia to open the 2014 World Cup qualifications campaign.  Macedonia certainly did not look inferior to a team that is ranked #9 in the FIFA World Rankings, but a team is judged by wins and losses and Macedonia suffered yet another loss despite the good play for large periods of the game.

“In Glasgow we are going for a win, not a draw!  We have to start thinking about winning games and not just be satisfied with good performances because it is obvious that we can match up against the best teams in the world.  If we play as we did against Croatia, with a bit stronger fight and determination, then I believe the result will come to us.” Pandev told Ekipa.mk after the first training session in Glasgow.

Scotland and Macedonia will play on Tuesday at 21.00 CET at Hampden Park.
