Stuttgart proved to be too much for Beerschot, especially in the first half when the Bundesliga club dominated action and scored two goals.  Pacovski played from the start and conceded the two goals in the 25th and 36th minute.  However, Tome kept the score respectable as he made a couple of fine saves to keep his team in the game.  This was the second friendly for Beerschot during their training camp in Turkey.  Two days ago, Beerschot lost 5:1 against Genk but Stijn Stijnen played at keeper for that match.

Beerschot will now return to Belgium and resume league play against Standard Liège on 14 January.  Stijn Stijnen, the starting goalkeeper at the start of the season, has recovered from his wrist injury so the Beerschot manager will have to decide whether to stick with Pacovski or turn back to Stijnen.
