Goalkeeper Edin Nuredinoski was acquired by Aris Limassol after being out of football for more than a year.
Edin Nuredinoski, 33, was without a team since the summer of 2014. He last played in Azerbaijan with FK Baku. There has been little information about Nuredinoski since that time, so the thought was that he would likely retire. However, that wasn’t the case. He was added by Aris Limassol on Monday.
Aris Limassol, newly promoted this season, wrote the following, “New acquisition for our team is the 33-year-old Macedonian goalkeeper Edin Nuredinoski. He last competed in Azerbaijan with Baku. Edin also has 14 appearances for the national team of his country. Aris Limassol has requested the certificate of Edin Nuredinoski from the Azeri federation, where he last played.”
Nuredinoski was once the starting keeper for the national team, but he has not been called up for several years. Due to his age, Edin is unlikely to ever feature for Macedonia again.
