Pandev's cross that led to a penalty on the first Napoli goal; photo: virgilio.itGoran Pandev assisted and won a penalty for Napoli, Martin Bogatinov and Edin Nuredinoski kept clean sheets for their respective teams, while Bojan Gjorgievski wad forced off just before halftime with an injury for Skonto.

Italy, Serie A, Napoli – Palermo 2:0
Goran Pandev started for Napoli and played until the 76th minute when he was replaced by Ezequiel Lavezzi.  Goran was active and played a part in both goals for Napoli.  Pandev won a penalty in the 16th minute when his cross struck the hand of a opposing defender inside the area which was ultimately converted by Edinson Cavani, while Goran then played a good ball to Marek Hamsik in the 35th minute who chested down the ball before firing a shot past the Palermo keeper.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Zorya – Dynamo Kyiv 0:0
Goran Popov got the start for Dynamo Kyiv at left back and played until the 37th minute when he was sacrificed for an extra striker in Brown Ideye.  However, Dynamo Kyiv could not break down the Zorya defense and the match would finish in a goalless draw.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Arsenal Kyiv – Volyn 3:0
Vance Sikov started for Volyn and played until the 82nd minute when he was substituted by Oleh Shandruk while his teammate Dusan Savic also got the start and played until the 69th minute when he was replaced by Yevhen Pavlov.  Volyn conceded all three goals in the 2nd half during a sixteen minute stretch from the 63rd to 79th minute.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Karpaty – Kryvbas 2:0
Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Karpaty and kept a clean sheet.  With one round remaining in the Ukrainian top division, Karpaty is only two points clear of the relegation zone so the club is still not safe from avoiding the drop even with this victory over Kryvbas.

Ukraine, Persha-Liha, Sevastopol – Nyva 5:1
Besart Ibraimi began on the bench for Sevastopol before he entered the game in the 59th minute replacing Volodymyr Tanchyk.  Sevastopol cruised to an easy three points against Nyva and collected its nine consecutive win in league play.

AFC Champions League, Group G, Central Coast – Tianjin Teda 5:1
Velice Sumulikoski got the start for Tianjin Teda and played until the 63rd minute when he was substituted by Zheng Jin.  Tianjin Teda suffered a heavy defeat away to Central Coast and was officially eliminated from advancing in the AFC Champions League.

Cyprus, Coca Cola Cup, Ethnikos Achnas – Omonia 1:0
Edin Nuredinoski played from the start for Ethnikos Achnas and kept a clean sheet while his teammate Stojan Ignjatov started on the bench before entering the game in the 68th minute to replace Elias Vattis.  Despite the win, Ethnikos Achnas was eliminated from the Cypriot Cup by losing 1:3 on aggregate over the two games against Omonia after the first leg ended 3:0 for Omonia.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Basel – Thun 2:1
Muhamed Demiri started for Thun in defensive midfield and played until the 89th minute when he was substituted by Mirson Volina in the narrow road defeat to Basel.

Romania, Liga I Bergenbier, CFR Cluj – Brașov 1:0
Baze Ilijoski played the entire game for Brașov as the lone striker but was kept quiet by CFR Cluj, the current table leaders in Romania.

Romania, Liga I Bergenbier, Dinamo Bucureşti – Universitatea Cluj 2:2
Kristijan Naumovski stayed on the bench as the #2 keeper for Dinamo Bucureşti.

Denmark, Superliga, Aarhus – Lyngby 2:1
Bajram Fetai began on the bench for Lyngby before coming on in the 82nd minute to replace Anders Christiansen.  Lyngby lost its fourth consecutive game to remain in the relegation zone.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Djurgården – Örebro 2:1
Armend Alimi was not included in the Örebro squad due to an injury.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Mjällby – Malmö 2:2
Daniel Ivanovski played all 90 minutes for Mjällby who overcame a two goal deficit to snatch a point against well known Swedish club Malmö.

Poland, T-Mobile Ekstraklasa, Polonia Warszawa – Zagłębie Lubin 0:4
Aleksandar Todorovski was not called up by Polonia Warszawa.

Moldova, Divizia Naţională, Olimpia Bălţi – Dacia 1:0
Goran Dimovski started for Dacia and played until the 59th minute when he was substituted by Ghenadie Orbu.  The loss to Olimpia Bălţi, coupled with a win by Sheriff in another game during the round, dropped Dacia to second place on table.

Netherlands, Eredivisie, Twente – Heerenveen 3:4
Samir Fazli was an unused substitute for Heerenveen.

Lithuania, A Lyga, Ekranas – Sūduva 2:0
Yani Urdinov played the entire game for Ekranas and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet.

Norway, NM Cupen, Florø – Sogndal 3:0
Jasmin Mecinovic remains out with an injury for Sogndal who was eliminated from the Norwegian Cup with the loss to fourth division side Florø.

Latvia, LMT Virslīga, Metta – Skonto 1:2
Bojan Gjorgievski started for Skonto at right back and played until the 42nd minute when an injury forced him to be substituted by Andrejs Sinicins.

Greece, Football League, Pierikos – Panthrakikos 0:1
Dejan Blazevski played all 90 minutes for Pierikos in the narrow home defeat to Panthrakikos.
