Stojkov is still getting fit after a lingering injury limited him to playing in only two friendlies this summer. The score was 1:0 when Stojkov entered the game and he put the game away in the 90th minute when he received a pass from David Marazzi and scored past the Locarno keeper to give his team the 2:0 lead and hand Aarau all three points in the first round of the Swiss Challenge League.

Nikolce Noveski started and played until the 62nd minute for Mainz but the story of this game was fellow Macedonian Dragan Georgiev who entered the game in the 62nd minute and scored on a beautiful left footed shot from 18 meters in the 72nd minute. After the game, Mainz manager Thomas Tuchel praised the discipline of his defense and was especially happy for Georgiev who recently picked up a knock in training but recovered in time for this game.

Aleksandar Vasoski was kept at home by Eintracht because of blisters in his feet that are becoming more serious while Oka Nikolov played the 2nd half and conceded a goal in the 90th minute. The next friendly for Eintracht is against English giants Chelsea FC on the 1st of August.

Velice Sumulikoski was on trial at Crystal Palace and played the entire game. It seems Sumulikoski had a very good game according to a Crystal Palace forum which praised Sumi who wore #6 and mentioned that he could be the holding midfielder they need. The current manager of Crystal Palace is George Burley who was formerly the manager of Scotland and should be familiar with Sumulikoski as Macedonia and Scotland were in the same group for 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifications.
