Spase Dilevski and Ivan Necevski faced eachother as Ivan came victorious, while Ben Kantarovski and his team marked their second win this season.

A-League | Round 3

Adelaide United – Sydney FC 1:2
Adelaide unexpected, lost their first game at home this season in front of their home supporters which are considered the best crowd in the A league.
Spase Dilevski (26) lost in the direct encounter with his compatriot Ivan Necevski. Dilevski played average 65 minutes and also was on the referees list for receivers of yellow card. The defensive midfielder was replaced with Cameron Watson in the 65th minute, 5 minutes after Adelaide conceeded the equilising goal.
Ivan Necevski (31) as expected this time was the first choice of his manager Lavitzka after, he was left on the bench in the first 2 rounds. The experienced goalkeeper returned to his manager with 4 excellent saves and leading the team to the first victory this season.

Newcastle Jets – Central Coast Mariners 1:0
Newcastle started very good this season, wining in the both games that they played in front of their supporters. After wining in the season opener against Melbourne Heart, in this round they beat the light favourite for this game, Central Coast Mariners.
Benjamin “Ben” Kantarovski (19) as usual was standard member of Newcastle’s midfield, playing the whole match. He managed to help the defense not to concede a goal but he was also active in the midfield connecting the defense with the strikers. A good performance by him once again.

Blagoja “Billy” Celeski (Melbourne Victory), Mile Sterjovski (Peth Glory) and Kliment Tasevski (Melbourne Heart) again were sidelined due to injuries and werent aviable to their managers. It is expected Mile Sterjovski and Billy Celeski to return for the next round while Kliment Tasevski is on the list for long term injuries.
