Tome Pacovski told Beerschot’s official website that he hopes to leave the club during the January transfer window in order to receive consistent playing time.
After the solid performance in yesterday 1:0 win for Beerschot over Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Cup, Pacovski stated the following, “I have only played in two games this season. That is not enough for me. Stijn Stijnen (the usual starting keeper) is a very good keeper and this is a situation that I must cope with. However, I hope to get noticed by another club by December so I can join a new team in the January transfer window where I would receive consistent playing time. I train every day at 100% and give everything I have when given an opportunity. I’m glad that I played a good match, it was even better than the domestic cup game last month. The victory was also good for our supporters, among the best in Belgium. Will I be here in the next round of the Belgian Cup? We’ll see.”
Pacovski is a free agent at the end of the season but Beerschot is not expected to present problems for Pacovski if he can find the right team in January. Both sides have a good relationship and the contract could be mutually terminated in January. The team has been pleased with Pacovski’s professionalism but they have told him that Stijn Stijnen is the undisputed starting keeper in league games. Beerschot also has some young keepers on the roster so Pacovski will be allowed to leave in January if he can find the right team where he would receive regular playing time.
