Macedonia U17 loses to Bulgaria (Video)

The U17 youth national team of Macedonia played a road friendly versus their Bulgarian counterparts on Thursday.

The U17 friendly, for players born in 1998, was played at the “Hristo Botev” stadium in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. There were no goals in the opening 25 minutes, but then four goals followed in the next 12 minutes. Bulgaria scored three of them in the 26th, 35th and 37th minute, while Macedonia U17 got one in the 34th minute. The goal for the visitors was scored by Nehar Sadiki, a youth player on Rabotnichki. His shot on goal took a deflection before getting past the keeper.

Bulgaria U17 would go on to score an additional goal in the 72nd minute to complete the 4:1 victory.

The Macedonian defense, couple with some shaky goalkeeping, led to the convincing defeat. It hasn’t been a great week for the youth national teams after what happened with the U16 team in Gibraltar.
