Mensur Kurtishi was released by Brisbane Roar after failing to make much of an impact.
Kurtishi originally joined Brisbane Roar in July 2014 on a 1 year deal, but now departs the club after spending only 6 months there. He scored just one goal in nine appearances.
Having begun the season in the Roar’s starting line-up, the 28-year-old Kurtishi ended up among the substitutes and last played in Roar’s 1-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on December 3.
Kurtishi tweeted the following after saying farewell to his teammates on Thursday morning:
Goodbye Brisbane. Thanks for the opportunity and the support. Wish the boys a fantastic ending to the season. #GoRoar
