Slavco Georgiveski scored the lone goal for Neftçi in today’s 3:1 friendly loss against Ukrainian side Metalist.

The friendly was played in Turkey where both teams are holding preparations in anticipation for the second half of the season in their respective leagues.  For Neftçi, both Igor Mitreski and Slavco Georgievski got the start with the latter scoring the only goal for the Azerbaijani club in the 23rd minute.  The goal came on a shot from about 11 meters after Georgievski was set up with a good low pass from a free kick.  That tied the game at 1:1 but Metalist would go on to score two additional goals, one just before halftime and another in the 2nd half, to collect the 3:1 win.  Mitreski ended up playing the 90 minutes for Neftçi while Georgievski only played the 1st half.
