Goran Pandev had his best game in a Napoli uniform by scoring two goals in the match against Juventus which ultimately ended 3:3.

The game between Napoli vs. Juventus was played today since the original matchup, scheduled for several weeks ago, was postponed due to inclement weather.  With Napoli striker Edinson Cavani nursing a minor injury, Goran Pandev was given the start and had a very good performance with two goals.

Goran Pandev first had a good chance in the 26th minute when he took the ball from a Juve player before he was running towards goal.  The Juve defenders failed to close down Pandev who unleashed a left footed shot from the edge of the area but his effort was saved by the Juventus keeper.  Then, in the 40th minute, Pandev finally scored his first goal in a Napoli uniform with a nice right footed shot (his weaker foot) past the Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon.

After the goal, the Napoli announcer chanted GORAN numerous times with the Napoli fans finishing the chant by yelling PANDEV.  His teammates seemed extremely happy for Goran who has been receiving heavy criticism over the past couple of weeks, especially after the recent incident when he exchanged words with the Napoli manager Walter Marazzi.

Juventus played better in the 2nd half but in the 68th minute, Pandev made it 3:1 for Napoli with a good goal past the opposing keeper.  Pandev nicely controlled a cross from teammate Christian Maggio before turning and scoring a very good goal with a left footed shot past Buffon.  Several minutes later, in the 71st minute, Pandev was substituted by fellow striker Mario Santana.  Juventus then managed to score two goals to equalize the game at 3:3 so both teams settled for a point.  Juventus remained in 1st place of Serie A with 26 points while Napoli is in 6th place with 17 points.
