Lierse defender Daniel Mojsov was rather fortunate as an ultrasound showed no structural damage to his knee.
Since Lierse players had the weekend and Monday off following last Friday’s win over Cercle Brugge, Daniel Mojsov did not undergo an ultrasound to his injured knee until Tuesday. The results were positive for Mojsov since there was no structural damage to the knee. He just has a lot of bruising and the knee is swollen, as can be seen in the photo below.
That photo was posted by Mojsov on his Facebook profile. He stated that he has been diagnosed with hematoma, a condition that is not deemed serious. However, it’s still unclear whether Mojsov will be able to play this weekend. After all, the knee is badly bruised and he feels pain when he walks. Mojsov has always lacked pace, so this bruising would make him even slower. So, the Lierse manager will have to decide whether Mojsov would be the best option to start this weekend, or go with another choice in central defense. It will likely depend on the progress that Mojsov shows in the next couple of days.
