Shkendija vs. Vardar game gets postponed

Due to security concerns, Wednesday’s scheduled game between Shkendija and Vardar has been postponed.

The reason for the postponement is what the ministry of interior described as a terrorist attack that took place in the morning hours of Tuesday. Since that attack occurred in Kumanovo, the ministry of interior made the suggestion to FFM to postpone the match. As a reminder, Shkendija will play most of its home games in Bogovinje while their stadium is being renovated, but it was decided that Kumanovo would host the home clashes against Vardar.

Since the ministry of interior is preoccupied investigating the terrorist attack, they could not guarantee the safety in the Shkendija vs. Vardar game. Thus, FFM accepted their suggestion and postponed the game. The stadium in Bogovinje is not available as a replacement for tomorrow since Renova will play there against Turnovo on that day.

Vardar and Shkendija will play at a later date

The new date for the Shkendija vs. Vardar game will be announced in the near future.

UPDATE: Shkendija vs. Vardar will be played on Friday, April 24. The match will still take place in Kumanovo and be deemed high risk, leading to more police presence. Also, the weekend games involving Shkendija (away to Turnovo) and Vardar (at home versus Rabotnichki) have been moved to next Tuesday to give the teams enough rest.
