Nikolche Noveski found the back of the net for Mainz, Boban Grncharov scored an unfortunate own goal for Botev Plovdiv, while several other Macedonian players, with their respective teams, learned their faith in the domestic cup competitions that took place in the midweek period.

Many players originating from Macedonia were in action during the weekend with Besart Abdurahimi scoring an important goal and Robert Stambolziev making the first start for his new club.

Valmir Nafiu, who lately was without a club, signed a contract until the end of the season for Hamburger SV.

Agim Ibraimi added two more goals for Maribor, Dushan Savic and Lutfi Bilali netted game winners for their respective clubs, Stevica Ristic reached the back of the net for Suwon, while former Macedonian national team manager Mirsad Jonuz made his managerial debut for Nea Salamis in Cyprus.

Due to several players nursing injuries and lack of games affecting Macedonian internationals, the midweek period was pretty quiet.  Here is a recap of the games involving Macedonian players:

After reviewing the performances of Macedonian football players over the month of October, we put a list of the best starting 11 during that span.

Agim Ibraimi scored a brace for Maribor, Mirko Ivanovski netted a late goal for Astra, Bajram Fetai provided an assist for Denizlispor, while Martin Bogatinov and Edin Nuredinoski kept clean sheets for their respective teams.

Adis Jahovikj’s goal and the win against Slovenia were marked as jubilee by the media, but we still lack one goal and one win for those accomplishments.
