Valmir Nafiu, who lately was without a club, signed a contract until the end of the season for Hamburger SV.

The 18-year-old forward already spent several months on trial and also played in some friendlies for the first and second team of the rich in tradition Bundesliga club. Hamburg’s coach Thorsten Fink was well informed about Nafiu’s qualities because Nafiu trained with Fink’s former club Basel for a longer stretch. Yesterday Nafiu made his debut for his new club as he played 90 minutes for Hamburger SV II in the 1:2 home loss against SV Meppen in the Regionalliga Nord.
