Macedonian First League – Round 19
After the big break of three months without the Macedonian domestic football, the Macedonian first league started again this week. There few surprises in the results, but not so unexpected after the many changes in the squads, strikes and financial and administrative problems in the clubs.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 16
The second half of the Second League has started with today's matches. Bregalnica Stip won at home against Lokomotiva in the derby of the round, Teteks is the new leader after Sloga Jugomagnat draw Shkendija 79 away, while Kozuf surprised Ohrid and took the three points from Biljanini Izvori stadium.
The chaos in Vardar continues
Not even two weeks passed as we announced the new board of the most famous Macedonian football club, but the circus continues with another episode from FK Vardar as the former president Trifun Kostovski today announced his come back in the club.
Nov Milenium quits the 2nd League
FK Nov Milenium from the village of Susica has quit the Second League. The club’s board decision shocked everyone, and now the Macedonian Second League will continue with 15 competitors.
U21: Croatia – Macedonia 2:1
The Macedonian U21 national team was defeated on the friendly match that was played in Kostrena, near Rijeka in Croatia. As expected, Croatia U21 were better and won with 2:1.
Coach changes in clubs
After Alekso Mackov took charge in Pelister, Pobeda and Turnovo Horizont have also changed their old coaches and their replacements have already been announced.
Macedonian Cup semi-final draw
The draw for the cup semi-final matches took place today. Champions Rabotnicki got second-league side Shkendija, while winter champions Makedonija Gjorce Petrov will face Milano.
Best of 2008 by FFM
The football federation of Macedonia has announced the nominees for the 2008 awards. Pacovski Tome is the best footballer, Rabotnicki is the best club, while Dragoljub Bekvalac the best coach.
Macedonian First League – Round 18
Leaders Makedonija GjP defeated Vardar and will stay on the top with seven points lead in front of Milano who were defeated away to Pelister in the last round of the 2008/09 season before the winter break. The season will continue in March, 2009.
