Every first division side avoided being upset and advanced to the next round of the Macedonian cup with Shkendija, Sileks, Vardar, Renova, and Bregalnica leading the way by recording convincing victories over their respective opponents. As for the other teams in the top division, Metalurg barely got past Rufeja while Napredok and Teteks needed penalties

In the other games, Miravci recorded a comfortable win over Ohrid Lote, Belasica and Skopje played a 1:1 draw, Treska settled for another draw, while Pobeda Junior collected their first point of the season.

As you can see below, most of the goals were scored late in the game but Vardar and Metalurg recorded narrow victories to maintain their perfect starts

The Second League got under way. Skopje started furiously with a 5:0 win over debutant Rufeja, Osogovo beat Belasica, while promotion favorites Tikves and Pelister won as well.
The 2011/12 season of the Second League starts today! With three debutants and two clubs who are making comebacks after a while, we should witness an interesting season.
