The Macedonian U17 national team won with 1:0 again Romania U17 in the friendly match played today in Ohrid.
Renova qualifies for the 1/4 final
FK Lokomotiva Skopje have canceled their participation in the further rounds of the Macedonian Cup because of financial problems. They will not play the match against Renova in the 1/8-finals tomorrow, so Renova have directly qualified for the quarter finals.
Macedonian First League – Round 6
The only two undefeated teams kept their record as Rabotnicki and Sileks shared the points. Teteks won away to Milano, Renova defeated Pobeda with a goal in the last minute, Metalurg and Makedonija drew in a boring match, while Pelister were defeated at home by Turnovo.
Alekso Mackov left Pelister
After almost a year as a coach of Pelister, Alekso Mackov left the club. The reasons stated in his resignation are the bad financial position and the frequent strikes of the players who are not payed regularly in the last period. Mackov’s assistant Zlatko Cvetanovski will be the care-taker coach who will lead the team
Macedonian Cup – 1/8 final draw
The draw for the 1/8 final of the Macedonian Cup was made today. The cup title holders Rabotnicki will have easy task against Fortuna, while champions Makedonija GjP will meet Sileks.
Macedonian First League – Round 5
After 17 months, Turnovo’s stadium Kukus is not still an undefeated ground for the hosts as Rabotnicki managed to win. Vardar and Pobeda, Teteks and Metalurg and Pelister and Renova shared the points on their matches while Makedonija and Sileks as expected defeated Sloga and Milano.
Macedonia U21 held by Lithuania
The Macedonian U21 national team is still without a win after three played matches in the qualifications for the European U21 Championship in 2011. Today they were held by Lithuania with 1:1.
Macedonian First League – Round 4
The 4th round was completed today with the matches played in Tetovo between Renova and Vardar and in Skopje where Sloga and Teteks met. In both these games the hosts celebrated a victory.
FFM bans the away fans
After last week’s incident, the Football Federation of Macedonia and the Macedonian Ministry of Interior have concluded that because they are incapable to organize a football match with away fans, so they brought the least expected action – banning the fans from the stadiums.
Three more clubs under investigation by UEFA
Milano, Vardar and Rabotnicki are under investigation about relating four matches in the UEFA European competitions, announced UEFA’s chief inspector Gerhard Kapl.
