Cedomir Janevski wants to strengthen Ethnikos Achnas and has used the international break this week to bring in two players on trial, one of them being former Macedonian international Aleksandar Mitreski.  Mitreski last played for Swiss club Aarau but is currently a free agent after he did not sign with a team in the summer.  Mitreski arrived in Cyprus yesterday and has taken part in training for Ethnikos Achnas.  Janevski will closely watch Mitreski and if he impresses, then he will sign with Ethnikos Achnas.

Aleksandar Mitreski will also play in a friendly tomorrow when Ethnikos Achnas faces Ermis.  Mitreski, who can play CB or in defensive midfield, is familiar to Janevski who decided to bring him to Cyprus to see if Mitreski can help Ethnikos Achnas.  Aleksandar’s performance in tomorrow’s friendly will play a big role in deciding whether he signs with the club.

The 31-year-old Mitreski has made 32 appearances for the Macedonian national team but has not been called up to the squad in a while.  He was born in Macedonia but spent most of his childhood in Switzerland.  During his career, Mitreski has exclusively played in Switzerland or Germany so if he signs with Ethnikos Achnas, it would be his first club team outside of those two countries.
