A. Damchevski joins Chernomorets

Aleksandar Damchevski, member of the Macedonian U21 national team, has signed a deal with Bulgarian side Chernomorets.

The 21-year-old Damchevski was announced as one of two signings by Chernomorets, Tema Sport reported on Saturday.  The other player that was signed was striker Georgi Stefanov.  At Chernomorets, Aleksandar will be joining a club captained by Vancho Trajanov, who is a former Macedonian international.

Damchevski is a center-back who holds passports from both Macedonia and France.  He moves to Chernomorets as a free agent after last being under contract with a club from Switzerland.  The fact that he holds a French passport means that he won’t count as a non-EU player for Chernomorets.

Although there is not much information about Damchevski regarding his club career, he has been capped by the Macedonian U21 national team.  As a matter of fact, he was summoned in the U21 squad for the two qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Norway in November of 2013.
