Midweek internationals performances (12-14.03.2019)

Filip Antovski and Dinamo continue to live their dream in the UEFA Youth League, while Krste Velkoski, Aleksandar Todorovski and Kire Markoski all advanced in the semi-finals of the national cups in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovakia.

UEFA Europa Legaue, Portugal Benfica – Croatia Dinamo 3:0 AET (3:1 agg.)
Arijan Ademi did not travel to Portugal as he is out for a surgical operation on his stomach injury. Unfortunately, his team got eliminated.

UEFA Europa Legaue, England Arsenal – France Rennes 3:0 (4:3 agg.)
Keeper Dejan Iliev wasn’t summoned by Unai Emery for this important match in which his team managed to overcome the negative from the first leg.

Albania, Kupa e Shqipërisë, Partizani – Luftëtari 1:2
Egzon Belica featured 90 minutes in the home defense that collapsed in the last minute allowing Luftëtari to record a road win before the return leg.

Albania, Kupa e Shqipërisë, Teuta – Kukësi 2:2
Keeper Bobi Celeski watched from the home bench while for the visitors Edis Malikji played the whole game as Ardian Cuculi wasn’t summoned.

Albania, Kupa e Shqipërisë, Tirana – Laçi 3:0
Bojan Najdenov played for the visitors who got smashed in this first quarter-final leg.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kup BIH, Zrinjski – Sarajevo 0:1 (0:2 agg.)
Krste Velkoski captained Sarajevo until the 67th minute when he made way for Benjamin Tatar who happened to score the game winning goal. His team advanced in the semifinals.

England, Championship, Reading – Leeds United 0:3
Ezgjan Alioski played the entire match as his team easily defeated the relegation struggling host.

Hungary, Magyar Kupa, Ferencváros – Vidi 1:2
Stefan Spirovski wasn’t summoned for the home side while Boban Nikolov played the entire match for the visitors. A return leg will follow as these two teams are fighting a place in the semis.

Serbia, Kup Srbije, Radnički – Vojvodina 2:1
Aleksandar Todorovski played the whole match as his team advanced in the semifinals. He got booked during this game.

Serbia, Kup Srbije, Crvena zvezda – Radnik 2:1
Zoran Danoski did not get a chance to play against the famous Zvezda. His team faced an expected quarter-final elimination.

Slovakia, Slovenský Pohár, Košice – Spartak 0:0 (3:4 p.s.o)
Kire Markoski featured almost until the final whistle of the regular time as he was substituted by Štefan Pekár in the first minute of the injury time. His teammates went on to win on penalties so Kire continues the cup trophy battle as he is now in the semis.

Slovakia, Slovenský Pohár, Žilina – Skalica 4:1
Enis Fazlagikj wasn’t summoned by the home side because he is out with an injury. His team booked a place in the semifinals by eliminating a second league opponent.

UEFA Youth League, Croatia Dinamo U19 – England Liverpool U19 1:1 (4:3 p.s.o)
Filip Antovski played the whole match for Dinamo as his team eliminated the famous Liverpool. Filip wasn’t among the five players that took the penalty kicks. In the quarter-finals Dinamo will face another English giant in Chelsea.
