Zlaté Moravce sacks manager Milko Gjurovski

After a bad start to the season, Slovak club Zlaté Moravce has sacked head coach Milko Gjurovski.

Milko Gjurovski, a great footballer during his playing career, only lasted six games as the manager of Zlaté Moravce. On Sunday, the Slovak side announced the dismissal of Gjurovski, citing the bad results.

Zlaté Moravce sits second from bottom on the standings with only 4 points (after six rounds). They are actually coming off a win in the last game, but that was not enough to save Gjurovski. He has left Zlaté Moravce and two assistant coaches will now lead the club on an interim basis.

Milko, 52, is the father of current player Mario Gjurovski, under contract with Muangthong United in Thailand, and brother of Macedonia’s former manager Boshko Gjurovski.
