The women’s national team of Macedonia was drawn to face Iceland, Scotland, Belarus and Slovenia for EURO 2017 qualifying.
Another qualification challenge is about to begin for the women’s national team of Macedonia. The ladies will be looking to improve upon their results from the prior qualifying cycle. Macedonia was in the last pot for today’s draw, so the team will be looking to take the next step. Football development among women is improving in Macedonia, but the squad needs more depth, besides Natasha Andonova, to improve its play.
The qualification matches for EURO 2017 will start on 14 September of this year and last until September of 2016. The eight group winners and the six best runners-up will join the hosts, the Netherlands, in the final tournament in the summer of 2017. The other two runners-up will participate in a play-off in October of 2016 for the remaining berth in the expanded 16-team finals.
