The women’s national team of Macedonia opened the women’s EURO qualifiers with a heavy 0:9 loss against Italy.

The match was played at the Goce Delcev stadium in Prilep.  The women of Italy dominated and dismantled their counterparts from Macedonia with a 9:0 victory.  Italy scored six goals in the 1st half before adding three more goals after the break.  Daniela Sabatino led the way for Italy with a hat trick.

Macedonia finds itself in Group 1 and next faces Greece on 26 October.  The other members of the group include Russia, Italy, Greece, Poland, and Bosnia.
