The move was announced on Vardar’s official website.  Chinese club Liaoning made a good offer, both to Vardar and Grozdanoski, so the decision was made for the player to continue his career in China.  Grozdanoski had a clause in his contract that he could leave Vardar if an attractive offer comes in and that was the case in this situation.

Grozdanoski agreed to a 1 year deal with Liaoning and has an option to extend the contract for an additional 12 months.  Vlatko turned 29 years old this past January and felt he could not pass up the offer by Liaoning at this stage of his career.  Grozdanoski is expected to depart for China on Saturday in order to take a medical before the move can become official.

The teams in China are investing a lot of money in football and the quality in the league continues to improve.  Vlatko becomes the second Macedonian to move to China in the winter transfer window after Velice Sumulikoski recently signed with Tianjin Teda from Russian side Sibir.

Grozdanoski has compiled exactly 50 appearances for the Macedonian national team.  From his experience playing abroad, Vlatko had successful stints in Cyprus and Serbia with Omonia and Vojvodina, respectively.  Grozdanoski also briefly played in Iran before his latest adventure to China.
