Vardar added striker Ibe Zito Ogbonna

Nigerian attacker Ibe Zito Ogbonna has become the latest player to join Vardar.

After long contract negotiations and the player being on trial, it is now official.  Ibe Zito Ogbonna, the Nigerian striker, has signed a deal with Vardar.  He becomes the second signing after earlier today, Vardar also added veteran defender Zlatko Tanevski.  Another striker in Jovan Kostovski is also training with Vardar but a decision has not been made whether to sign the player.

Ogbonna is 28 years old with his last club being Atyrau from Kazakhstan.  He was most successful during a stint with Israeli side Hapoel Tel-Aviv while also playing for Cluj in Romania and and South African side Kaizer Chiefs.  Ogbonna played in several friendlies for Vardar and even scored a couple of goals but manager Ilco Gjorgjioski was not satisfied with his shape.  He wanted Ogbonna to lose some weight and this signing suggests that the player is making progress in that department.

FK Vardar will hold a press conference on the 1st of February to announce the new players before leaving for Antalya, Turkey the next day to continue their training camp.
