Day 1 from Women’s Under 19 Championship has been completed.
The opening matches of UEFA Womens Under 19 Championship in Macedonia 2010 took place today.
In Group A, at the Milano Arena in Kumanovo, Germany were convincing against Italy and won 4:1, while England celebrated a 3:1 win over Scotland on Zelezarnica Stadium in Skopje.
In group B, Netherlands won 2:0 against France on Boris Trajkovski stadium in Madzari. These three matches were played at 13.00 CET.
On National Arena Philip II of Macedon, at 17.00 CET, Macedonia has started the European Championship against Spain. Spain were the right favorites before the match and have completely proven why. Macedonia were really quiet in the attack and did not managed to create some serious chances. Although it was 0:1 on the half-time break, Spain managed to score five more goals in the second half, especially towards the end of the match when Macedonian girls were obviously tired and their concentration level dropped. After 90 minutes, Macedonia – Spain 0:6.
