With a win over the Faroe Islands the young Macedonians finished as runners-up at the friendly tournament in Latvia with two wins and a defeat.

In a tough match lacking of goals Macedonia managed to celebrate a lone goal victory over the Faroese counterparts. The game winning goal was scored by Ensar Ljuma in the second minute of the injury time just before the referee blew the final whistle. Previously, in the 90th minute the Faroe Island missed a huge opportunity to score as they failed to convert a penalty kick. Their player sent the ball just wide.

Previously Macedonia lost 2:0 by Ukraine who won the tournament with a perfect score, while in the opening round Macedonia was better than the host country winning with 2:1. In the other game played today Ukraine defeated Latvia with 2:0.
