U19: Germany – Macedonia 5:0

Macedonia U19Macedonia U19 noted second defeat in the second match of Elite Round European Championship 2011 qualifications.

Germany U19 were by far the better team and the 5:0 result in their favor clearly shows which team was in complete control. The result could have been even bigger if Germany were more precise upfront, having hit the post 3 times and many other numerous chances.

Leitner opened the scoreline in the 19th minute when he scored a goal from penalty after Efremov brought him down in the box. Just a minute before half-time Kitanovski fouled inside his own box and Leitner doubled the lead. Macedonia had one chance in the first half when Gjurgjevik failed to hit the target in the 38th minute.

In the second half – same story. Germany were attacking and creating chances, Macedonia very quiet.  Parker scored the third goal of the match in 66th minute after overall bad defending. Towards the end of the match, Parker scored his second goal after another penalty but this time Efremov saved Leitner’s shot but Parker scored on the rebound. 5 minutes from time, Leitner managed to get his hat-trick.

All in all, totally deserving win for Germany and really bad play by Macedonia.

Macedonia: Efremov, Aliovski, Kitanovski, Najdoski, Drobarov, Timov, Micevski, Najdovski (67′ Acevski), Naumcevski, Gjurgjevik (82′ Nurisi), Simonovski (89′ Nikovski).
