U16: Macedonia beats Bosnia-Herzegovina on penalties

The young Macedonians played a goalless draw against the tournament host nation but latter celebrated a win in the penalty shoot-outs.

A tought and even game wsa played earlier today in the Bosnian city of Zenica. Macedonia had a scoring opportunity in the 24th minute when Sava Avramovski fired a great shot that was forced the home keeper to show his skills.

Both teams failed to create better scoring chances and the game went into penalty kicks. Spase Terziev i Vasko Ivanov converted their penalties, while four of hosts’ players missed to gave Macedonia a penalty victory.

In the first round of the UEFA development tournament Macedonia defeated Azerbaijan with 2:0, while the hosts lost by Croatia in an almost identical way. Macedonia will play the last game on Sunday against Croatia in what will be a battle for the first place.
