Turnovo will remain in the First League after defeating Gostivar 2:0 in the second leg of the relegation play-off.
After playing a 1:1 draw in the first leg, there was everything to play for in the return leg for Gostivar and Horizont Turnovo. Today’s match, which was also played in Probishtip, saw Turnovo emerge victorious, thus ensuring another season in the top division of Macedonian football.
Turnovo won 2:0 with both goals coming in the first half. Kristijan Ivanov opened the scoring in the 15th minute, while Marjan Tashev set the final score twenty minutes later. The club was without Dragan Gjorgiev who left for Switzerland after the first leg. He even scored the goal for them in that game. However, Turnovo regrouped and managed to take care of Gostivar.
