After a year in Albania, defender Ardian Cuculi has returned to Shkendija by signing a 2 year deal.
Ardian Cuculi, who can play as a left-back or central defender, signed with Partizani last summer. However, after only a single season in the Albanian league, Cuculi returned to Shkendija today. He was unveiled as the first summer signing for the Tetovo based club.
Cuculi signed a 2 year deal ahead of the Europa League qualifications. Shkendija is expected to make several more signings in the coming days after a disappointing season in which they finished in 3rd place, 10 points behind the league champion Vardar.
So far, three players have left Shkendija: winger Ivan Mitrov and defenders Yordan Miliev and Nikola Vukčević. Mitrov signed with Rabotnichki, while the other two are free agents. Left-back Stefan Ashkovski will most likely leave as well after his loan deal expires. With Cuculi joining the club, that’s a good sign that the club does not plan to bring back Ashkovski.
Shkendija is also being linked with midfielder Stephan Vujčić, one of the top players in Rabotnichki. He could become their next signing. The team also signed a Rabotnichki player last year in Bazhe Todorovski.
