Toshack: Every player must show up

Through a short statement on FFM’s website, John Toshack announced that all 24 players called up must show up for the national team preparations, despite of possible injuries.

National team manager John Toshack is implementing a harsher strategy to build accountability within the team.  After news came out that several players might withdraw because of injuries, John Toshack announced that every player must show up for the preparations for the upcoming friendly against Albania on 15 November.  Some players will certainly not be able to play but Toshack still wants them to be around the team and try to improve the atmosphere surrounding the national team.

Goran Popov has the most serious injury while Goran Pandev, Ivan Trickovski, Nikolce Noveski and Ilco Naumoski are all nursing minor injuries so their availability for the Albania friendly is in doubt.  Nevertheless, every player from the called up 24, must show up in Ohrid.
