Goalkeeper Tome Pacovski was demoted to the bench by Beerschot as the manager opted to start Stijn Stijnen in goal.

After conceding five goals in last week’s game against Cercle Brugge and Stijn Stijnen being completely healthy following a wrist injury, goalkeeper Tome Pacovski was demoted to the bench by Beerschot manager Jacky Mathijssen.  Pacovski was an unused substitute for Beerschot during today’s 3:2 win over last placed Sint-Truiden. 

Stijn Stijnen made his first start for the Belgian club since 29 October 2011 as he missed the past couple of months with a serious wrist injury sustained in training.  Tome had started 12 consecutive league games in Stijnen’s absence and performed well in most games but the Beerschot manager decided to go back to Stijn Stijnen as the starting keeper.  Stijnen conceded two goals today against the last placed team in Belgium but he is likely to remain the starter moving forward since the Beerschot manager does not want to play musical chairs at the goalkeeping position.
