Todorovski made late appearance

After being an unused substitute in the past two games, Aleksandar Todorovski made a late appearance in today’s game for Polonia Warszawa.

Aleksandar Todorovski only played a couple of minutes in today’s game after he was introduced in the 88th minute when the Polonia Warszawa manager sacrificed an attacker in Pavel Šultes.  Polonia had a slim 0:1 lead at that point in the road game against defending champions Wisła from Kraków so the manager brought on the extra defender in Todorovski to defend the narrow lead.  The visitors had some nervy moments during stoppage time but they managed to hold on to their 0:1 road victory.  The lone goal of the game was scored by Šultes in the 82nd minute with a shot from just outside of the box after he was set up with a low pass from a free kick by teammate Róbert Jež.  Todorovski has recently lost his place in the starting lineup to Jakub Tosik who started his third consecutive game at RB for the popular Czarne Koszule.  With the win, Polonia Warszawa cemented the third position on the table as the long winter break will now get underway in Poland.

Meanwhile, in the other game involving a Macedonian international in the Polish top division today, Zlatko Tanevski and GKS Bełchatów suffered a 1:0 road loss against Podbeskidzie.  Tanevski started at LB for Bełchatów and played all 90 minutes as the opposing club scored the game winning goal in the 58th minute through midfielder Sebastian Ziajka.
